After four fantastic years operating out of Haslar Marina in the Solent, we felt it was time for a change and looked for an opportunity to expand our sailing grounds.

Last summer, in 2024, we ran a trial season out of Portland Marina during the summer holidays. This was something of an experiment to see if it would prove a popular location for the base of our trips—and it certainly did! Portland turned out to be ideally situated, offering excellent access to a variety of sailing areas. Depending on wind and tides, it’s perfectly placed to head west, south, or east, giving us flexibility for every trip.

Following a successful and well-received summer, we made the decision to move our operating base permanently to Portland Marina in 2025. We completed the move in March and have already run several cross-channel trips, which continue to be a firm favourite with our sailors.

New for 2025: Yachtmaster Passage Weeks

We’ve also added a number of Yachtmaster Passage Weeks to our 2025 sailing programme. We regularly receive enquiries from aspiring Yachtmasters looking to gain both sea miles and skippering experience—essential prerequisites for the RYA Yachtmaster qualification.

These dedicated weeks are designed to help you progress on your journey towards becoming a Yachtmaster, with real passage planning, command experience, and the chance to log valuable miles in challenging and varied conditions.
